Halloween candy recall ... PLEASE READ!?

HALLOWEEN CANDY remember that you can check this on Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/food/warnings/coins.asp This is a new warning for parts of milk from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency .... Chocolate Sherwood Brands Pirate's Gold were recalled due because they contain melamine, the substance in milk product that has caused many infant (and dog) deaths in China. These candies are sold Costco, in bulk and in many dollar stores. Please remember verify that your kids Halloween candy and DO NOT LET THEM EAT PIRATE COINS (you know wrapped in shiny gold paper) and please let other parents know about it! I am in the U.S., but the candy is made and sold in Canada, too.

Thank you! My boyfriend was looking for the pieces actually "pirates" to go with our "marching" on board this year. I guess that explains why we can not find. It's a good link to send to our schools. They are one of the best groups to ensure that children are given many of these warnings. It would be good to share this with the churches, because too many parties sponsoring the Halloween / trunk or try something.
